AUSY - Oracle / Powerbuilder Consultant

Job description

Context

AUSY is looking for Oracle / Powerbuilder Consultant having proven experience in corporate ICT projects. As an Oracle / Powerbuilder Consultant at Ausy, you are part of our Oracle Competence Center and devoted to participate to medium to large scale development projects for our main customers.

AUSY uses a methodology specifically designed to the ISO 9001:2000 standard and every development project adheres to our internal best practices and standards of quality consistency. Job Objectives

  • Analyze requirements, produce formal descriptions, adopt common software engineering techniques, and produce prototypes.
  • Understand and support team's project managers when assessing deadlines, risks, resource allocation and quality control.
  • Produce deliverables being able to follow either agile software development practices or documented systems methodologies within small to medium functional teams.
  • Unit testing, continuous customer feedback and acceptance tests.
  • Document systems.
  • Reverse engineering and refactoring of legacy systems. Migrate and consolidate heterogeneous applications.
  • Code optimization, tuning, scalability.
  • Reporting, data extraction and manipulation techniques.
  • Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards.

Your Profile

Education level & general experience

  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills in French and English
  • A higher education or university degree preferably in Information Technology;
  • A sound programming culture
  • Proven track record of successfully delivery within enterprise projects, with a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Knowledge of software engineering methodologies is required.

Technical knowledge

  • Good knowledge of Fund Administration
  • Knowledge of Oracle DB internals and its components.

Your competencies

  • Expert in PL/SQL and SQL development at enterprise level.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Powerbuilder
  • Sound data design and modelling experience.
  • Good knowledge in Oracle 10g & 11g
  • Good knowledge of Unix (AIX 5.3)
  • Oracle Forms, Oracle Designer, Oracle Report, Oracle Developer Suite.
  • Third-party RAD tools (e.g. TOAD).
  • Analytical skills and knowledge of software modelling are requirements.
  • SOA is an asset.
  • Knowledge of a second Oracle development language (Java) is desirable
  • Oracle data moving utilities (DataPump, Exp/Imp) knowledge is an asset.
  • Result and solution driven. Stress resistant
  • Experience with BI packages is definitively a plus.

As an asset you have

  • An OCA, OCP, OCM certification
  • Experience in banking environment especially with Multifonds FA
